The Wood:

Very durable, very hard, very stable. Incredible three dimensional figure in edged grain portions. Difficult to cut, machine and nail. Density 1180kg/m3.

The Tree:

 Mature size is variable, with specimens reaching 15 to 30 feet (4.5 – 9m) in height and width.

Colour:

 Dark Chocolate brown, nearly black, with fine grain.

Typical uses:

 Flooring and furniture.
